Rev. Jesse Brune-Horan, founder | spiritual director
Jesse is a celebrated spiritual teacher, writer, activist, and lifestyle expert with over 15 years in the field.
He's the co-founder of Inspire Spiritual Community, a Los Angeles based Independent New Thought organization serving the LGBTQ+ community & allies. He served as Spiritual Director from 2013-2019. Since 2010, he's offered hundreds of teachings on spirituality, designed the curriculum for professional practitioner and ministerial licensing programs, facilitated retreats, workshops, and group counseling.
Jesse leads classes based on the teachings of Science Of Mind, A Course In Miracles, The Way Of Mastery, & A Course Of Love. He offers meditation training, meets privately with clients as a spiritual coach, facilitates yearly healing retreats, and offers live wisdom teachings. He's a guest-teacher/presenter at various universities in Southern California.
He has served on the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept. & LAPD's LGBTQ+ advisory council, with an aim to create strong relationships and better communication between law enforcement and the community at large.
As a lifestyle expert, Jesse has co-starred on series for Bravo, The Food Network, and OWN. He was part of the Day Time Emmy winning series, "Home Made Simple". He co-hosted the popular podcast, "Alternative Styles" for Westwood One Media. The podcast featured interviews with outlier women in business and entertainment. He had the privilege of interviewing Lisa Ling, Logan Browning, Paige Davis, Jackie Warner, and more.
His expertise has been featured in multiple media outlets such as Huffington Post, MensHealth.com, US Weekly, OK Magazine, OUT magazine, The Advocate, and Life & Style to name a few.
He lives and loves in Los Angeles with his husband Christopher and their family.
Jesse apprenticed under Rev. Jennifer Hadley for over 5 years, holds two ministerial licenses from Inspire Spiritual Community and Community Miracles Center in San Francisco, and was ordained through Inspire Spiritual Community... and he's a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef.
Lisa Carias, co-founding director | operations
Lisa Carias is a Licensed Spiritual Practitioner and Counselor... and a lover of living in gratitude.
Previously the Administrative Director of Inspire Spiritual Community in West Hollywood, she experienced the power of applying spiritual principles and practices into her everyday life.
Lisa has over a decade of working with stakeholders, founders, and CEOs to help provide infrastructures, develop systems of operations, and carry out successful project management to organizations, associations, and companies. Her goal with Active Love Ministries is to provide the base for all staff and its programs to function seamlessly.
Lisa is a strong advocate of promoting self-love and helping others. She has previous training as a Chemical Dependency Specialist with a special focus in the LGBTQ+ community, eating disorders, women’s studies and domestic violence.
A native of Southern California, she loves spending time with animals, singing, and attending fitness events in her spare time.
Suzanne Jonas, co-founding director | admissions
Suzanne Jonas - Life Long Seeker of The Truth.
This journey includes a degree from The University of Metaphysics, certification as a Reiki Master, Access Consciousness Practitioner, Etc., Etc., Etc.
She has lived and travelled to many places both in the US and abroad, always curious about what "answers" she might find there.
She is the Earthly Custodian (Mom) to two amazing women.
Most importantly, although she will never stop being curious, to date she has learned something very important that she would like to share with other "Seekers". The Truth is whatever you believe it to be. She has created a very comfortable life using this information and finds such joy in supporting others to do the same.
